Flagging

“Flagging” is a common term for the closure of one lane in a section of roadway that has only two lanes. Traffic must be moved around the work area one direction at a time by use of “flaggers” or Traffic Control Persons (TCPs). This operation can be a short distance or hundreds of meters in length and can potentially be very complicated, requiring more than the standard two person crew set up. We have staff that can handle this type of set up at all levels and varying degrees of complexity.

Alternatively, we offer Portable Traffic Signals (PTS) for long term or night work where a flagging operation may not be suitable for people, or preferred for machine. These units do not work for all scenarios or roadway dynamics, but offer a cost effective and safe set up when they can be utilized.
